Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver outstanding Arabic language and Islamic Studies lessons. Follow the school’s curriculum and assessment policies. Maintain high standards for punctuality, behaviour, and student effort.
• Assess how well students meet learning objectives. Use assessment results to improve your teaching. Mark students’ work regularly and set clear targets for progress. Record student progress systematically. Use performance data to plan lessons and interventions. Prepare informative reports for parents
• Teach basic recitation and Tajweed rules with proficiency. Help students develop a love for the Arabic language. Encourage them to become knowledgeable, reflective, and principled individuals.
• Create a caring and nurturing classroom environment. Engage and motivate students to perform highly. Communicate professionally with parents and colleagues in written and spoken Arabic.
• Collaborate with the school Principal, Heads of School, and Senior Leadership Team. Participate in professional learning opportunities. Finally, contribute to the wider school community and international education.

Qualifications

You need a major in Arabic Language, or Arabic Language and Islamic Studies only. A minimum of two years of experience working in a recognised school or international school environment is preferred. You must be an outstanding practitioner in the classroom. Previous successful teaching or lecturing experience is required. Proficiency in basic recitation and Tajweed rules is essential. Experience in an international school setting is preferred. Excellent communication skills in written and spoken Arabic are required. You must be organised and able to work to deadlines.
