Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that follow the IB Primary Years Programme framework. Inspire a lifelong love of learning and help each child develop intellectual independence and confidence.

• Teach Arabic language, UAE Social Studies, and Islamic Education as required. Islamic Education is compulsory for Muslim students only. Foster good relationships between students, staff, and families.
• Participate fully in the vibrant co curricular life of the school, including academic clubs, sports, music, art, and drama activities. Contribute to weekly subject focused societies and events.
• Work closely with colleagues across the NLCS family of schools, including opportunities for pupil and staff exchanges, joint projects, and videoconference debates. Finally, maintain high standards of safeguarding and child protection at all times.

Qualifications

You need a recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, BEd, or equivalent. A bachelor degree in Education or a related subject is essential. Experience teaching the IB Primary Years Programme is highly desirable, but the school also welcomes candidates with strong experience in other British or international curricula. You should have a proven ability to inspire young children and support their academic and personal growth. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to the ethos of rigorous scholarship and pastoral wellbeing are required.
