Job Purpose of A Human Capital Director

  • To deliver strategic, added value HC interventions at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray.
  • To act as a business partner driving the achievement of hotel objectives and colleague engagement levels.
  • To lead the operational HC team in the provision of added value HC and Training excellence that makes Jumeirah a preferred employer whilst demonstrating commercial awareness.

Duties of A Human Capital Director

  • Responsible for Human Capital and Learning & Development P&L.
  • Responsible for Colleagues Restaurant P&L.
  • Responsible for Paramedic P&L.
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to the HC team in order to increase knowledge, skill set and share best practice.
  • Develop and drive the SBU HC Strategy in line with Regional HC direction and monitor its execution to ensure achievement of the objectives.
  • Drive the continuous improvement agenda with particular focus on maximizing productivity, devolving HC responsibilities and building leadership capability through the senior and middle managements teams.
  • Plan & deploy the annual HC budget and capex process and ensure P&L’s are well managed and monitored.
  • Propose changes to organizational structures using best practice organizational development principles to provide the most appropriate structure to support future growth and flexible labor.
  • Ensure National Development initiatives are well communicated and fully supported.
  • Consult on workforce planning activities in order to optimize staffing levels, productivity and service standards in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Regularly analyze and review HC statistics to identify trends.
  • Manage senior management and key HOD appointments ensuring timely and effective recruitment and on-boarding.

What You’ll Do More?

  • Ensure the effective implementation of companywide Human Capital policies, procedures and practices in accordance with the company objectives and UAE legislative requirements.
  • Advise and coach management on employee relations and performance management issues.
  • Coordinate & drive talent management.
  • Regularly coach, mentor and support senior and high potential colleagues to identify individual strengths and development needs, develop and maintain effective relationships and encourage retention.
  • To plan, drive and deploy colleague recognition, reward and engagement activities.
  • Ensure training programmed and development opportunities are deployed at a consistently high standard, aligned with business needs and Jumeirah culture.
  • Ensure consistent standard of customer service, health & safety, good quality, nutritious and varied menus across colleague dining facilities.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with appropriate professional qualifications.

Experience

  • At least 3-4 years experience in a position of direct responsibility for Human Resources Management.
  • Previous experience in a similar role highly regarded.
