Job Description

Aster DM Healthcare is currently accepting applications for the open position of Functional Nutritionist in UAE. The successful candidate will work at the Wellth by Medcare Hospital in Dubai. Medcare Hospitals and Medical Centres (Medcare) the premium healthcare division of Aster DM Healthcare, is one of the pioneering healthcare providers in the region. Role of Functional Nutritionist

Diagnose nutritional deficiencies in patients and, evaluate their dietary needs and advise them on a healthy lifestyle in order to improve their health condition.

Duties as a Functional Nutritionist

  • To incorporate functional medicine principles in their practice to help clients address their unique health concerns and prevent symptoms with a proactive rather than reactive approach.
  • Help clients identify their particular health goals.
  • Evaluate clients’ lifestyle factors that could be affecting their health, such as diet, environment, exercise and more.
  • Collaborate with clients to create nutrition plans and other lifestyle adjustments to help achieve their goals.
  • Order labs and other diagnostic tests.
  • Monitor and document patients’ progress.
  • Educate the client on ways to improve their health given their unique needs, goals and limitations.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Nutrition sciences or relevant field.
  • 2-3 years of clinical experience.
  • License to practice in UAE.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of human physiology and Biochemistry.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work with patients of different age and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Fluent in English.
