Job Purpose of A Front Office Duty Manager
The job purpose of a Front Office Duty Manager is to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the front desk and guest services.
Duties of A Front Office Duty Manager
- To set a high example in regard to punctuality, appearance, performance, attitude, leadership, and guest relations Management and co-operation.
- To assist in maintaining and/or develop agreed standards consistently within the Front Office department.
- To assist in maintaining and/or develop agreed operating procedures involved in the Front Office.
- To ensure all Front Office employees adhere to the correct procedures as laid down in the operating manuals.
- To ensure a smooth and efficient running of the Hotel operation, ensuring that all hotel guests and visitors receive and optimum level of service and care at all times.
- To use discretion and tact when dealing with guest enquiries, problems or complaints in an efficient and professional manner without detriment to the Hotel and / or its reputation.
- To assist the Front Office Manager in supervising the Guest Relation, Club Executive, communications and the Front Desk.
- Dedication to quality, hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- To prepare Late Charge letters and post them accordingly.
- To maintain and distribute the staff attendance summery sheet.
- To co-ordinate the introduction and training of new employees.
- To assist the reception staff in their duties as required.
- To ensure that all reception staff are aware / trained about their Manual and procedures.
- Supervise the cross training of staff from other departments.
- To report any hazards of health and safety to guests and staff to the Front Office Manager and take immediate corrective action as and when necessary.
- Must be lead by example by demonstrating the Hallmarks and guiding principles in their role continuously.
- Must be able to perform Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.

Qualification
- A Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field.
Experience
- Must have held 3-4 years experience in a Front Office role.
