Hind Bint Maktoum College of Nursing and Midwifery needs multiple full time nursing faculty members. The college is part of Mohammed Bin Rashid University for Medicine and Health Sciences. You will teach in one or more nursing programs. The college plans to expand its Bachelor of Science in Nursing and post graduate clinical specialty programs. Desired specialty areas include pediatric nursing care, critical care, trauma and emergency care, medical surgical nursing, oncology nursing, and maternity child care. If you hold a doctoral degree in nursing or a related field, this role suits you. You also need at least three years of clinical experience with two years in a specialty area.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach nursing courses in classrooms, online, labs, simulation, and clinical settings

• Cover one or more specialty areas such as pediatrics, critical care, trauma, medical surgical, oncology, or maternity care

• Participate in curriculum development and evaluation

• Develop course content and clinical experiences

• Construct tests and assess student learning

• Establish effective coordinating relationships with co workers and clinical agencies

• Engage in scholarly work and professional development

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in nursing or a related field

• At least three years of clinical experience

• At least two years of clinical experience in a specialty area

• Three years of teaching experience in an accredited program is preferred

• A record of research or scholarship engagement and publications is desired

• Teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate programs is desired

• Experience with online instruction is desired

• Knowledge of curriculum development, teaching methods, and evaluation is desired

• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English

• Arabic language skills are desirable

• Strong commitment to working as part of a collaborative team
