About the Role

As an English Teacher at Bateen World Academy, you will deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve the best possible outcomes in English. Furthermore, you will plan and present sessions that cater to the full ability range while maintaining high expectations for student conduct and achievement. Moreover, the role involves acting as a form tutor, supporting pastoral needs, and contributing to the wider life of the school. This position commences in August 2026 and requires a minimum of two years’ teaching experience in the English National Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons across the ability range with enthusiastic and imaginative teaching
• Plan, prepare, and present sessions that cater to the needs of all students within classes taught
• Organise classroom provision and learning resources to create a positive learning environment
• Observe and assess students in line with the school assessment policy
• Use assessment data to influence further planning, provision, and intervention
• Act as a form tutor and support the pastoral needs of students
• Provide feedback to parents on student progress at parent-teacher conferences
• Run a weekly ECA each term and contribute to school events and activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related subject with PGCE or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in the English National Curriculum
• Experience working in an international school setting is desirable
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for English
• Proven success teaching across the age and ability range
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to the school’s vision
• Commitment to continuing professional development
