About the Role

As a Design Technology Teacher at Aldar Education, you will inspire, engage, and challenge students by delivering high-quality teaching and inclusive learning experiences. Furthermore, you will create a nurturing learning environment that sparks curiosity, encourages creativity, and supports students’ academic, social, and personal development. Moreover, the role involves planning and delivering lessons across the full ability range while maintaining high expectations for student conduct and achievement. This position starts in August 2026 for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a clear understanding of the curriculum for effective implementation in Design Technology
• Plan, prepare, and present sessions that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within the class
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment through organised classroom provision and displays
• Deliver enjoyable and creative lessons that challenge pupils and promote critical thinking
• Support SEN, EAL, and Gifted and Talented students through effective differentiation
• Manage classes effectively using approaches appropriate to students’ needs
• Facilitate hybrid, distance learning, and face-to-face lessons as required
• Follow the school’s established policies including behaviour, code of conduct, and child safeguarding

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar Design Technology teaching role
• Mandatory experience working in an international school setting
• Experience working with English as an Additional Language (EAL) students
• Passion for teaching and commitment to educating and nurturing children
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with parents in a diverse multicultural environment
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities
