English / Media Teacher – AL WAHA Dubai, UAE Full-time

GEMS METROPOLE SCHOOL – is hiring a English / Media Teacher – AL WAHA Dubai, UAE in Dubai, UAE. This is a full-time position.

We need a creative and ambitious Secondary English and Media Teacher for an immediate start at a truly unique international school in Dubai. You will find this full time position at GEMS Metropole School Al Waha. You will deliver GCSE and A Level English and Media lessons to inspire students to become confident communicators and critical thinkers. We expect a creative and enthusiastic approach both inside and outside the classroom. You will share exemplary teaching practices to develop curiosity, respect, and a love for language and media. Key Responsibilities for English / Media Teacher

The following tasks will be performed by the Secondary English and Media Teacher

• Plan and deliver engaging GCSE and A Level lessons in English language, English literature, and Media studies

• Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessment methods

• Provide constructive feedback to help students develop analytical writing and media production skills

• Build strong, respectful relationships with students, colleagues, and parents through excellent interpersonal skills

• Embody and role model the school’s core values of curiosity, confidence, creativity, respect, and kindness

• Contribute actively to the extra curricular programme and community based events

• Use the school’s unique facilities including performing arts spaces to enhance media and drama related learning

• Follow all safeguarding and behaviour management policies consistently

Qualifications

A BEd or bachelor’s degree is required. A PGCE or PGDE must also be held. Proven qualified experience teaching GCSE and A Level English and Media is essential. A proven track record of providing outstanding learning and teaching is expected. Excellent interpersonal skills must be demonstrated. A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching is required. A UK enhanced DBS or equivalent police check is a pre requisite for all appointments. A clean criminal background check covering the previous ten years of employment history will be required.
