North London Collegiate School Dubai is seeking an outstanding Teacher of Chemistry to join its science department starting 1st September 2026. This full time role is based in Dubai within the prestigious Hartland development. If you are passionate about inspiring young scientists and helping students develop intellectual independence, this position offers an exceptional platform. You will teach Chemistry across the IB Continuum, including the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme. The school aims to be the top performing IB World School in the UAE, and you will play a key role in achieving that goal. North London Collegiate School Dubai opened in 2017 as part of the NLCS family of schools. The UK founding school has pioneered women’s education since 1850 and remains among the highest achieving schools in Britain. NLCS Dubai is a coeducational IB continuum school offering the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Diploma Programme. The school replicates the ethos and standards of its UK parent school while remaining sensitive to local culture.
You need a recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, BEd, or equivalent, plus a degree in Chemistry or a closely related field. Significant teaching experience in Chemistry at secondary level is essential. Experience teaching the IB Diploma Programme Chemistry is highly desirable. The school also values candidates who have experience with the IB Middle Years Programme. You should have a proven ability to inspire students of all abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to the ethos of rigorous scholarship and pastoral wellbeing.
The monthly salary for this Teacher of Chemistry role ranges from 12000 to 18000 AED depending on experience and qualifications. You will receive a competitive package including an initial two year contract, furnished accommodation, relocation costs if applicable, annual return flights to your home country, comprehensive health insurance, and tuition fees for eligible children. Additionally, you will be invited to travel to London for induction and training at the UK school, fully funded by the school’s partners.
