Key Responsibilities for Director of Sport Nord Anglia Education Abu Dhabi, AE

• Lead and manage the school’s sports department, including curriculum delivery for physical education across all year groups. Inspire students to participate actively and develop lifelong healthy habits.
• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that follow the English National Curriculum, IGCSE, and IB Diploma Programme. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all ages and abilities.
• Organise and oversee a wide range of extra curricular sports activities, teams, and competitions. Encourage student participation in local and regional events.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, keeping them informed of student progress and sporting achievements. Work closely with colleagues to share best practice and collaborate across subjects.
• Develop and implement strategies to raise achievement in sports and physical education. Monitor student progress and use data to inform teaching.
• Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including events, assemblies, and community activities. Finally, contribute to the school’s culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualifications

You need a recognized teaching qualification plus strong experience with the UK national curriculum. Further experience in international education is an added advantage.
