About the Role
The Dermatology Technician at Fakeeh University Hospital is responsible for preparing patients for hair removal procedures, operating laser devices, and providing post-treatment skincare guidance. Furthermore, this role involves performing HydraFacial procedures and face cleaning treatments. Moreover, the technician works within a multidisciplinary team, delivering personalized and compassionate care to all patients in the dermatology department.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laser hair removal procedures and explain the process to patients
- Conduct HydraFacial and face cleaning procedures for dermatology patients
- Manage appointment scheduling in collaboration with central booking
- Provide post-treatment skincare guidance and instructions to patients
- Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes to the medical team
- Maintain and clean laser hair removal equipment before and after each procedure
- Coordinate with Biomedical Engineers on equipment maintenance requirements
- Adhere to strict infection control standards including hand hygiene and PPE use
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and preventive measures
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient care records and documentation
Requirements
- Laser hair removal certificate from a recognized institution
- Valid DHA license for practice is essential
- Strong understanding of aesthetic and skincare procedures
- Minimum 2 months on-the-job training in dermatology procedures
- Customer service skills and personal service orientation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
