Data Scientist at Etihad Airways will contribute to the digital transformation process of Etihad’s Commercial area to transform it into a competitive advantage for the company. Implement data science models to drive incremental revenues and improve efficiency. Research and assess cutting-edge technologies/models applied in commercial space and contribute to proof-of-concept and further end-to-end implementation.
Responsibilities of Data Scientist
- Drive revenue and automation by developing advanced analytical models (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive) and deploying them in the Commercial ecosystem.
- Develop and maintain calibration of models to ensure they are relevant and optimal for the current business state.
- Monitor the revenue benefits of the advanced analytical models and provide monthly reports on revenue improvements and actionable insights.
- Research and propose ways to enhance the existing business processes by effectively utilizing advanced analytical solutions.
- Communicate and present insights to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage user acceptance testing and roll-out of new systems and upgrades of the existing ones to ensure delivery of requirements as per the business needs without any severe defects or bugs.
Requirements for Role of Data Scientist
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or Data Science.
- 3+ years of relevant experience designing, implementing and maintaining Data Science models used in commercial processes.
- Experience using data science programming languages (R, Python), SQL, and cloud-based data warehouse (Azure Synapse analytics, Google Big Query).
- Experience building, deploying and maintaining advanced analytical or data models in a business setting.
- Experience within the aviation/travel industry in the commercial areas is a plus.
- Experience in Dev-Ops and ML-Ops methodologies and tools.
- Experience in digital or analytics-related roles in the airline industry.
