About the Role
The Consultant Ophthalmologist at Mubadala Health Dubai will provide comprehensive ophthalmology consultations and treatments across outpatient and day-surgery settings. Furthermore, the role involves diagnosing and managing a broad range of general ophthalmic conditions and performing ophthalmic procedures within the approved scope of practice. Moreover, the successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive ophthalmology consultations and treatments across outpatient and day-surgery settings
- Diagnose and manage a broad range of general ophthalmic conditions
- Perform ophthalmic procedures within scope of practice and facility privileges
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to clinical governance standards
- Contribute to service development and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Lead patient education initiatives related to eye health and disease prevention
- Support research activities and evidence-based clinical practice within the department
Requirements
- Consultant-level qualification in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience as a Consultant within Dubai
- Strong background in general ophthalmology with demonstrated clinical expertise
- Eligibility for DHA Consultant licensure
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care
- Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
