The School of Computer Science, at University of Wollongong in Dubai, seeks to appoint a dynamic and talented Computer Science instructor with expertise in System and network security, modern cyber security and Ethical Hacking. The Computer Science instructor is expected to contribute to delivery of common foundational subjects in programming, database management, web technologies and networking. The Instructor position is suitable for applicants who are looking to gain experience to develop their scholarly career.

Responsibilities of Computer Science Instructor

The position holder is also expected to conduct tutorials & laboratory experiments in the broad areas related to Computer and Network Security, Cryptography, Ethical Hacking and general tutorial and labs related to computer science such as programming, database management, web technologies, and networking. In addition, the position holder will contribute to school events, recruitment activities and relevant committees and governance requirements.

Job Requirements

The requirements for the job role of Computer Science Instructor are as under:

• Minimum qualification includes a Master’s degree in Computer Science from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role.
• Teaching experience in Computer labs and tutorials.
• Extensive experience in programming (C/C++, Java, Python) and in scripting languages.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, faculty, and staff. Fluency in English language (both spoken and written)
• Working knowledge and experience with Computer Organization, Architecture, Networking Working knowledge and experience with operating systems: Linux, ubuntu, Windows, IOS, Android Knowledge and experience of cloud computing.
• Working knowledge of common information and cyber security tools i.e. Wireshark, Kali Linux, John the Ripper, Metasploit, Tcpdump, Nikto, Forcepoint, Paros Proxy, Nmap, Nessus Professional, Nexpose, TrueCrypt, Netstumbler, Aircrack ng, KeyPass, Splunk, Tor, Nagios, OSSEC, POf, Snort, Acunetix, Argus, Bitdefender, Malwarebytes, LifeLock, Mimecast, Webroot.
