IT/Computers Web Development industry is looking for a talented Computer Operator to monitor and control their computer systems. The job holder you will be responsible for handling the operation and maintenance of their computer systems, collaborating with the IT team, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining equipment inventories.

Responsibilities of Computer Operator

• Setting up computers and other hardware devices.
• Meeting with the IT team to determine the sequence of operations.
• Starting operations by entering computer commands.
• Monitoring error and stoppage messages.
• Identifying and correcting file and system errors.
• Performing data processing operations according to a business production schedule.
• Performing backup procedures to reduce the risk of data loss.
• Maintaining computer equipment and inventory and organizing repairs as needed.
• Collaborating with Programmers and Systems Analysts to coordinate testing environments and resolve system problems.
• Maintaining and managing processing logs and run procedures manuals.
• Answering questions and troubleshooting problems for users.

Requirements of Computer Operator

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Proven work experience of 1-2 years in similar role.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• Advanced knowledge of computer electronics including circuit boards, chips, processors, and peripheral equipment.
