About the Role

The Clinical Social Worker at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is responsible for performing psychological assessments and contributing to the plan of care for patients with complex social, cultural, or clinical needs. Furthermore, this position reports directly to the Manager of Case Management. Moreover, the role involves collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to develop comprehensive and coordinated care plans for patients across various departments.

Key Responsibilities for Clinical Social Worker at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Abu Dhabi

• Conduct patient psychosocial assessments and make treatment recommendations under supervision of Senior Clinical Social Worker
• Provide consultation and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to develop comprehensive care plans
• Engage patients and families in adhering to treatment plans by reducing social, psychological, financial, and behavioral barriers
• Assist Case Manager and Senior Clinical Social Worker with complex social situations
• Advocate on behalf of patients for access to appropriate post-acute care services
• Identify and assist under or uninsured patients to locate available resources and financial support
• Serve as a resource to CCAD personnel on a wide range of social and cultural topics
• Provide emotional support and education for staff members
• Support the development of comprehensive discharge plans for patients

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is required
• Master’s degree in Social Work is required
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in social work is required
• Acute care hospital experience required for non-UAE nationals
• Current national license is required
• Strong problem-solving and conflict mediation skills
• Ability to speak and write in English is required; Arabic is preferred
