Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence needs passionate faculty members for its School of Public Health. This full time role involves delivering high quality instruction, mentoring students, and contributing to curriculum development. You will also engage in interdisciplinary research using unique datasets from the Human Phenotype Project. This project is a large scale longitudinal cohort and biobank. It collects medical history, lifestyle data, vitals, blood tests, and multi omic molecular profiles. Research areas include computational biology, medical informatics, personalized medicine, foundation AI models, multi omics integration, epidemiology, pandemics, and biomedical imaging. If you have a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities for Computational Biology In Abu Dhabi, UAE
- Deliver high quality instruction in computational biology and public health. Mentor students at undergraduate and graduate levels. Contribute to curriculum development and improvement.
- Actively engage in interdisciplinary research. Use the Human Phenotype Project’s extensive molecular datasets. Focus on computational genomics, systems biology, multi omics integration, and foundation AI models.
- Develop analytical and computational techniques to address complex questions in healthcare and life sciences. Unravel the interplay of genes, environmental factors, and human physiology. Aim for novel biomarker discovery and translational applications.
- Collaborate with leading AI researchers. Work on cutting edge projects. Contribute to the university’s growth as a hub for AI excellence. Publish research findings in top tier journals.
- Participate in departmental activities and university service. Finally, help translate research into personalized prevention strategies and innovative therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications
You need a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field. Demonstrated excellence in conducting innovative and impactful research is required. An interest in mentoring students is essential. We invite candidates at all levels: Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor. A strong publication record and a Google Scholar H Index will be considered.
