Cloud Engineer EITC Dubai

Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company is seeking a qualified and dedicated Cloud Engineer (Trainee) to join them at Du Headquarters in Dubai, UAE. The role person will manage and review the development and documenting of Business Continuity Plans. He / She will manage the testing business contingency plans and report on success of disaster recovery, tests, ensuring that results are published, and necessary changes implemented.

Responsibilities of Cloud Engineer

• Full responsibility of the Cloud Services and Infrastructure.
• Setting-up and configuring VMware services to best practices.
• Responsible for any technological activities related with cloud including design, planning, management, maintenance and support.
• Responsible for managing the cloud orchestration infrastructure.
• Follow the escalation matrix and update the flash report for the delayed projects in order to notify the management and other stakeholders.
• Update the managers on open Problem Notifications, production issues.
• Create, maintain and update required documentation, records, logs, and reports.
• Manage the development and implementation of formal procedures that fully documents the design, implementation, provisioning, support and monitoring requirements for all existing and new Cloud Services.
• Liaison with internal du departments, teams, vendors, and suppliers to determine user requirements, execute projects, and set service standards.

Education & Experience Requirements for Cloud Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience of dealing with customers, specialists and service providers.

Knowledge Requirements

• Knowledge on using the Cloud environment – VMWare, VCentre, vCloud Director, VROPS, NSX, NSX-T, PKS, vCAV
• Any additional DR solution and tools – DoubleTake, Perpetiuti.
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Command a strong understanding of Industry 4.0, with a focus on Manufacturing.
