About the Role

The Clinical Psychologist at Reem Hospital will provide comprehensive psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to patients across various departments. Furthermore, the role involves developing and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals dealing with mental health conditions, behavioural challenges, and emotional difficulties. Moreover, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care and positive clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for inpatients and outpatients.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic approaches and interventions.
• Manage a clinical caseload of patients with diverse mental health conditions and psychological needs.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver integrated patient care.
• Support crisis intervention and psychological emergency services within the hospital setting.
• Contribute to the development of clinical protocols, policies, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences for complex patient presentations.
• Lead or contribute to staff training, educational activities, and professional development programmes.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust therapeutic approaches based on patient progress and needs.
• Promote mental health awareness and psychoeducation among patients, families, and hospital staff.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD) or Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognised institution.
• Not less than 3 years of post-qualification experience as a Clinical Psychologist in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Valid and current psychology licensure or registration from the home country.
• Knowledge of UAE Health Regulations and experience with international healthcare accreditation standards.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, or psychodynamic therapy.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills with a collaborative approach.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
