Majid Al Futtaim presently has a job opening for experienced and skilled candidate for position of a Chef De Partie. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising the quality and quantity of the food offered, coordinating the production as it relates to the Central Kitchen, developing new menu offerings and displays and ensuring all menu items are prepared to MAF Food brand standards.

Duties of Chef de Partie

• Preparing menus in collaboration with colleagues.
• Ensuring adequacy of supplies at the cooking station.
• Preparing ingredients that should be frequently available (vegetables, spices etc.).
• Following the guidance of the Executive or Sous Chef and have input in new ways of presentation or dishes.
• Putting effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality.
• Auditing food storeroom items and directing items to maintain consistent quality products that ensure adherence to all health code requirements.
• Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards
• Helping to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility Requirements for role of a Chef de Partie are as under:

• Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred or diploma / Degree in Hotel management.
• 3+ years of related culinary experience, at restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and proper preparation.
