Majid Al Futtaim presently has a job opening for suitably qualified and experienced candidate for position of a Legal Counsel. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing the organization with support to facilitate effective legal services, advice, and representation for all legal issues including corporate, supply chain, and procurement either directly or with the support of external lawyers and is also responsible for supporting the Legal team in all legal matters in a timely manner while ensuring consistency of approach and style.

Duties of Legal Counsel

• Draft contracts, agreements and notifications as required in a timely manner and ensuring that they are compliant with internal standards and legal requirements.
• Analyze policies for legal correctness with a view to provide legal advice in relation to the drafting of contracts or policies.
• Support the development of strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
• Up to date knowledge and application as well as horizon scanning of the changes to laws and regulations of the region, monitor legal publications and study the new trends related to legal practices and their impact on the current scenario.
• Advise on matters related to competition law, including antitrust laws, competition regulations, sustainability, and third-party due diligence.
• Assist in legal operations and legal transformation projects including automation, standardization, templatization, governance frameworks.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility Requirements for role of a Legal Counsel are as under:

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 4-6 years of legal experience in a common law jurisdiction.
