Cardiology Technician Aster DM Healthcare Dubai

Aster DM Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Cardiology Technician to join them at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital in Dubai. This role person will help perform echocardiography, electrocardiograms, stress tests, and other imaging exams for patients with cardiac disease.

Responsibilities of Cardiology Technician

• Responsible for patient preparation and education.
• Perform transthoracic echocardiogram on complex congenital heart disease on fetal, pediatric and adult population.
• Use noninvasive ultrasound equipment to record data on blood flow through the peripheral vasculature
• Conducts Cardiology Investigations with correct management of hemodynamic, ultrasound and mapping equipment.
• Prepares and interprets report for physician review and sign off.
• Actively participate in departmental training, clinical audits and improvement projects.
• Helps develop team cohesiveness by assisting team members and aligns individual work efforts to meet work unit and organizational goals for service excellence.
• Selection, management and efficient use of appropriate consumables (inventory management).
• Appropriate calibration and review of equipment with escalation of defects are in line with facility wide policy.
• Meticulous and timely documentation and reporting within the patient medical record.
• Prompt reporting and escalation of all Cardiac Critical Results.

Qualifications & Experience

Following are the requirements for the role of Cardiology Technician at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital:

• Diploma is cardiovascular technology.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge & Skills

• Demonstrates an understanding or desire to learn advanced imaging/recording techniques.
• The ability to ensure detailed findings are accurately documented and critical findings are reported in a timely manner.
• Willing to teach junior staff, fellows and students as required.
