Job Purpose of A Buyer

• Responsible for processing purchase orders, sourcing, negotiating with suppliers and tracking orders up to receipt.
• Collaborate with staff across departments to understand their demand formulated as purchase requests, make purchase decisions based on these demands and ensure vendor performance meets the requirements of these demands

Job Duties of A Buyer

• Understand the needs from requestors, including direct materials quality requirements defined in the engine manuals and through vendor selection.
• For indirect materials or services below 500k AED in value, research and select a matching quality product or service based on market availability, optimizing for value as outlined in the purchasing policy and standard process manual.
• Process purchase requisitions (back orders, disposition or PR) and raise purchase orders.
• Track purchase order including approvals, to ensure timely placement of the order, manufacturing and delivery to shipping agent.
• Arrange transport and track shipment up to receipt.
• Attend meetings and provide updates to management and requestors on the status of requisitions and orders.
• Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate for the best pricing.
• Assess the quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management. 
• Research vendors, acquire relevant information, process it in the relevant systems and track to ensure timely quality approval.
• Maintain documentation of vendors, recording quality and performance.
• Perform any other job duty related to buying or any other job which may fall within the scope of job responsibilities.

Eligibility Criteria?

Qualification

• Bachelors degree in relevant field.

Experience

• 5 years of experience in similar role.
