Abu Dhabi Ports presently has a job opening for an eligible candidate for position of Business Analyst. The selected candidate will gather data to identify opportunities, analyze financial information and develop financial strategies, provide financial advice, develop financial models, and assess financial risk, highlighting strategic geographical locations to gain entry into new markets and increase market share, revenue and profitability by providing detailed analysis and models.

Duties of A Business Analyst

• Grow financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends.
• Identify opportunities of economic and commercial value through exploration of new businesses, meeting and interacting with clients.
• Work with team to develop proposals that speak to AD Maritime needs, concerns, and objectives.
• Report to management on existing / upcoming activities on regular basis.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new business cases.
• Prepare business case decks to be presented to investment committee.
• Assisting in the preparation of business unit budgets.
• Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
• Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision-making.
• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
• Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses, study proposed changes in methods and materials.
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
• Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.
• Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.
• Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation.
• Ensures the updating of budget records to include all expenditure and the consolidation of quarterly Capital budget and appropriation status reports for the Company.
• Reviews the drawdown of each Department’s annual capital budget and reports status to concerned personnel with detailed analysis.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of Business Analyst are as under:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA or Masters in Finance is a plus. 
• 3-5 years of proven experience in relevant field.
