Job Purpose of An Assurance and Complaince Analyst
- Plan and conduct independent reviews to contracts and Procurement Management Approval (PMA) in critical areas within P&L, using specialist industry and technical skills, with the objective of providing assurance on risks and controls and advising on prioritisation of recommended actions.
- Provide inputs on risk analysis and categorisation to the assurance, compliance and risk management unit.
Job Duties of An Assurance and Complaince Analyst
- Conduct reviews, and analytical reviews of P&L critical areas using best practice and industry skills.
- Collaborate closely with the managers of the assurance, compliance, and risk management units to define the scope of assignments and formulate programs aimed at accomplishing the objectives related to Assurance, Compliance, Risk, and Governance.
- Gather, authenticate, and assess data from various business systems to make well-informed risk assessments, considering a combination of quantitative and qualitative factors.
- Determine the best approach, techniques and procedures required to complete the review programme, by analysing data that would help form an opinion on the status and management of risks and utilisation of business opportunities.
- Engage in discussions with and convey review findings to the relevant stakeholders within the organization, ensuring that the final risk assessment is communicated effectively to the management team.
- Work with stakeholders in building solutions to address specific issues and risks to support the P&L compliance manager.
- Support the P&L Compliance Manager by preparing contract review reports, tracking responses, and overseeing the execution of approved recommendations to ensure compliance.
- Suggest and implement ‘smarter’ methods and techniques to optimise ressources and effort for subsequent reviews.
- Ensure that documentation relating to Working Papers and in support of findings is recorded / archived.
Who Can Apply?
Qualification
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
- Desirable: CPA / CA / CIA qualifications preferred.
Experience
- Required: 5 years experience in Procurement preferably in Audit or risk and assurance experience.
- Desirable: Experience in auditing / risk management or equivalent exposure in jobs involving systems analysis and management information in Finance / Insurance or line departments.
Certification
- IACCM-E, FIDIC Certification will be an added advantage.
Skills Desired
- Excellent conceptual, numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey impact lucidly to line management.
- Expert knowledge of PC applications and major corporate business systems.
- Familiarity with the use of CAATs and data mining techniques in auditing Aptitude for continuous learning and independent work.
