Mohamed Hilal Group is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Assistant Restaurant Manager to join their team at Ana and Third Avenue Restaurant. As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of their establishment and maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

Responsibilities of Assistant Restaurant Manager

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
  • Manage and lead the front-of-house and back-of-house teams, providing guidance, training and motivation to ensure a cohesive and high-performing staff.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure consistent food quality, presentation and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Interact with customers to ensure a positive dining experience, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly.
  • Manage reservations, seating arrangements and waitlist to optimize seating capacity and minimize customer wait times.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages and supplies, placing orders as needed and maintaining cost controls.
  • Assists the Restaurant Manager in Menu Engineering and Menu Management
  • Ensure Team Members maximize all sales opportunities.
  • Ensure Team Members consistently maintain brand standards and high levels of customer service.
  • Assist in creating and implementing promotions, special events and marketing initiatives to attract and retain customers.
  • Handle cash management, including processing payments, managing cash drawers and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Uphold a clean, organized and welcoming restaurant environment for both customers and staff.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of restaurant policies, procedures and operational guidelines.

Requirements for Role of Assistant Restaurant Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 2+years experience in restaurant management or a supervisory role.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with staff and customers.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and restaurant regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in POS (Point of Sale) systems and basic computer applications.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining high standards.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
