Job Description

Mediclinic is currently looking for a devoted candidate to join them as Assistant Nurse – OPD at Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai. This is a recently opened position, announced by the company with the requisition ID 45359.  The role person will provide and coordinate patient-centric and evidence based nursing care, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, by ensuring compliance to ethical and professional standards set by regulatory authorities and the company.

Responsibilities of Assistant Nurse OPD

  • Deliver quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in collaboration with the multi professional team according to set clinical standards and relevant legislation.
  • Ensure patient safety by identifying, preventing and managing risks in accordance with appropriate MCME risk policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Take active responsibility for positive patient experiences by creating a conducive environment as guided by nursing leadership.
  • Contribute to a learning environment that builds employee competence.
  • Perform patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient’s age.
  • Report any abnormality in patient’s condition immediately to the medical staff and escalate as and when required.
  • Assist physician with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
  • Communication of information to patients and their relatives.
  • Educate the patient and family regarding the disease, diet, pain management, rehabilitation etc. and according to the identified individual need, provide educational materials if available.
  • Ability to identify medical complications, emergencies and take the appropriate action immediately and to assist emergency management of patient in the unit as required.

Role Requirements

Following are the required qualifications for the role of Assistant Nurse OPD at Mediclinic:

  • Nursing Diploma is essential.
  • At least two years of experience in own country.
  • UAE experience is beneficial.

Certification & Licensure

  • Active BLS, fire & safety training and infection control training.
  • Valid MOH license.
