Anesthesia Specialist Kanad Hospital Al Ain

Kanad Hospital is seeking a skilled Anesthesia Specialist in Al Ain, UAE. The incumbent is a qualified Anesthesiologist responsible for delivery of quality anesthesia and sedation services to all surgical and non-surgical patients at Kanad Hospital. She/ he shall assist the planning and organization of anesthesia service and quality assurance of the anesthesia services in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. As a member of Anesthesia staff he/ she will assist the planning and organizing of Anesthesia Department as per the clinical practice guidelines.

Duties as Anesthesia Specialist

• Preanesthetic evaluation and care, medical management of the anesthetic procedure and the care of the patients during and after the surgery.
• Must share on a fair and equitable basis in the responsibility for assuring 24-hour-a-day, 7day-a-week availability of anesthesia care.
• Participating in the development of, and enforcing policies and procedures relating to the functioning of anesthesia personnel and the administration of anesthesia throughout the hospital.
• Shall be dedicated to providing competent medical service with compassion and respect for human dignity.
• Shall deal honestly with patients and colleagues and strive to expose those physicians deficient in character or competence, or who engage in fraud or deception.
• Shall respect the law and also recognize a responsibility to seek changes in those requirements which are contrary to the best interests of the patient.
• Shall respect the rights of patients, of colleagues and of other health professionals. Shall safeguard patient confidence within the constraints of the law.
• Shall continue to study, apply and advance scientific knowledge, make relevant information available to patients, colleagues and the publi. Obtain consultation, and use the talents of other health professionals when indicated.
• Except in emergencies, be free to choose whom to serve, with whom to associate and the environment in which to provide medical services.
• Participate in activities contributing to an improved community.
• Ensure safe sedation practice and be involved directly or supervision of sedation services throughout the hospital. Be physically present during the procedure in the sedation suite.
• He /She should be responsible and capable of monitoring and management of any adverse events during these procedures.

Education & Experience of Anesthesia Specialist

• Medical doctor degree with specialization course in anesthesia.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years’ related experience post qualification.
• Must have ObGyn experience, pediatrics and NICU experience would be a plus.
• License – Must be DOH/DHA licensed or DOH passer or DOH exam exempted.
