Job Description
American University in the Emirates is looking a highly efficient Alumni Officer to join their team and contribute to building connections with theirĀ graduates. The ideal candidate is responsible for developing and implementing excellent alumni relations that will build and strengthen relationships between the University and its graduates.
Responsibilities of Alumni Officer
- Plan and execute high quality activities and events on and off campus to increase alumni engagement.
- Obtain and maintain up to date and accurate records about alumni (including their employment history).
- Act as an account manager growing and maintaining positive and active relationships with alumni to increase the scope of alumni relations with the University.
- Provide guidance and pre graduation advice and support to students.
- Prepare bi annual reports on alumni activities and present alumni feedback to the relevant units/departments for inclusion in institutional decision making.
- Plan and deliver high quality presentations about the University and ensure that all published and digital material related to alumni is accurate and up to date.
- Plan and execute alumni fundraising activities.
- Develop an annual budget that adequately serves the department goals annually.
- Manage and oversee a robust Alumni Association.
- Identify and secure funding from various sources to support the University mission in line with the university advancement and fundraising plan.
- Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring their continued engagement and support for the institution.
- Perform any duties as assigned by the superiors.
Job Requirements of Alumni Officer
Qualifications & Education
- Master or a bachelorās in education management or related field from an accredited university.
ExperienceĀ
- 3 ā 5 yearsā practical experience in university.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to tactfully and politely deal with difficult customer situations.
- Appreciation of cultural diversity.
- Fluent in Arabic English language skills.
