Job Description

As the Director Growth, you will be responsible for leading the acquisition and retention strategies for GMG Sport. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, expanding customer base, and maximizing customer lifetime value. You will lead a team of marketing professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute data-driven growth initiatives. Your focus will be on driving customer acquisition, optimizing conversion rates, and implementing effective retention strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement the overall growth strategy, encompassing customer acquisition, conversion optimization, and customer retention.
  • Define and execute growth initiatives, campaigns, and experiments to drive revenue and increase market share.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align growth objectives with the overall business strategy.

Customer Acquisition:

  • Lead customer acquisition efforts, utilizing various channels such as digital advertising, SEO/SEM, social media, influencer marketing, and partnerships
  • Drive quality traffic to our websites and apps
  • Analyze and optimize acquisition funnels to increase conversion rates, reduce acquisition costs, and maximize return on investment (ROI).
  • Monitor industry trends and identify new growth opportunities to expand the customer base.

Customer Retention and Loyalty

  • Develop and implement customer retention strategies, including personalized email marketing campaigns, loyalty programs, referral programs, and customer segmentation.
  • Build and drive upsell and cross sell strategies
  • Analyze customer data and behavior to identify opportunities for increasing customer lifetime value and driving repeat purchases.
  • Work closely with customer service and operations teams to enhance the post-purchase experience and ensure customer satisfaction.

Execution:

  • Execute marketing campaign on time for brick and mortar and ecommerce teams

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilize analytics tools and platforms to gather insights, measure campaign performance, and track key metrics such as customer acquisition cost (CAC), customer lifetime value (CLTV), retention rate, and churn rate.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide visibility into growth performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.

Requirement

  • At least 4+ years in a similar performance and growth role

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • 2+ experience in managing multiple ecommerce brands and driving their P&L performance.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, eCRM, CDP, ecommerce technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute ecommerce strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Strong business acumen, financial literacy, and budget management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Prior experience in the retail industry or a similar consumer-focused industry is highly desirable.

Job-Specific Skills

  • Experience in driving growth for ecommerce businesses with large catalogs and multiple brands
  • Arabic would be a plus
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce web and app platforms

  • Proficiency in data analysis and experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms.

  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
