Job Description

Taha Medical Center in Abu Dhabi is presently looking for dedicated and skilled Lab Technologist/ Scientist. The laboratory provide services in immunology and serology, hematology, blood transfusion, clinical chemistry, autoimmune, coagulation, and clinical microscopy tests. Interested candidates are welcomed to submit their curriculum vitae to join TMC.

Purpose of Lab Technologist

Perform and document routine and emergency laboratory tests and sample analysis accurately and timely in all lab departments under the supervision of the Lab Supervisor.

Duties of Lab Technologist

  • Perform phlebotomy on patients of Allah ages.
  • Check if the specimen is enough and suitable for analysis.
  • Verify patient’s data and maintain Digital records.
  • Ensure proper functioning of all equipment, machines and reagents in all departments of Lab.
  • Keep check of daily quality control procedures and Compliance to hospital standards.
  • Caliberate the machines / instruments timely.
  • Perform antibody screening, blood grouping, cross matching and Coombs tests for blood bank prior to transfusion.
  • Perform chemical analysis of urine or blood for toxic components.

Education & Experience

  • Graduation in Medical Technology or Clinical laboratory science or equivalent qualification.
  • Master’s in Biomedical Science is Preferable.
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience.
  • Current National licensed in country of origin.
  • HAAD license to practice in Abu Dhabi UAE.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of maintenance and repair of tests instrument.
  • Knowledge of lab SOPs.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Proficient in MS office
