Job Description

Kanad Hospital is presently seeking a dedicated Registered Ward Nurse (Female) to join their professional team in Al Ain, UAE. The incumbent will uphold the organizations customer service standards at all times. She will make a personal contribution towards effective and efficient working relationships within her team, and with other departments.

Responsibilities of Female Ward Nurse

  • Accepts responsibility and accountability for all actions and decision making within scope of practice as defined by DOH.
  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct for DOH, and the organization.
  • Completes mandatory and unit specific competencies and demonstrates ongoing compliance with appropriate evidence.
  • Develops and maintains own professional portfolio.
  • Takes responsibility for own professional development and actively engages in ongoing self-directed learning.
  • Obtains accredited and non-accredited Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Units in compliance with DOH requirements.
  • Complete mandatory annual staff training requirements.
  • Participates in self and peer evaluation including reflective practice.
  • Maintain any qualifications, including license and certificates such as Basic Life Support and other mandatory training within established time-frames.
  • Complying consistently with all organization policies, procedures and practices relevant to position.
  • Demonstrates leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession.

What you’ll do as Female Ward Nurse

  • Ensure you carry out your work in a way that is person/patient focused and meets professional standards. Practice nursing in a manner that the health consumer determines as being culturally safe.
  • Provide nursing care to achieve identified outcomes, utilizing appropriate resources to plan and provide nursing services that are safe, effective, and financially responsible.
  • Undertake a comprehensive and accurate nursing assessment of a patients needs in an organized and systematic manner.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation and maintains confidentiality of all information.
  • Uphold patients’ rights to make informed choices and advocate for patients and their families in all clinical activities.
  • Act appropriately to protect yourself and others when faced with unexpected patient and/or family responses, confrontation, personal threat or other crisis situations.
  • Provide appropriate health education and information to the needs of the patient and their family.
  • Accept responsibility for ensuring that your nursing practice and conduct meet the standards of professional, ethical and relevant legislated requirements.
  • Demonstrate the ability to apply the principles of cross-cultural knowledge and culturally sensitive skills in implementing culturally congruent safe nursing care.
  • Participate in supporting, developing and teaching colleagues to enhance nursing care outcomes. Attain knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
  • Integrate evidence and research findings into practice.
  • Recognize and value the roles and skills of all members of the healthcare team in the delivery of care.
  • Establish and maintain professional boundaries with patients and members of the healthcare team.

Education & Experience

Following is the eligibility criteria for the role of Female Registered Ward Nurse at Kanad Hospital:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • DOH licensed / DOH Exam Passer / Exam Exempted (DHA/MOH license will be considered).
  • Minimum of recent 2 years’ experience in a hospital setting.
  • Post-partum nursing care experience is a must.
