Job Description

The Checkout Associate at Everyday Goods(flagship brand linked to GMG) will be responsible in providing efficient customer service to customers at the cash till, while processing all relevant cash and credit transactions correctly as per the standard operating procedures. Responsibilities

  • efficiently process all customer transactions, including cash, credit card, vouchers & gift cards, ensuring accuracy & professionalism throughout.
  • Mastery of handling various transactions such as bills, foreign exchange currency, internal buys & staff buys is essential to expedite customer service effectively.
  • Meticulously follow correct closing procedures for cash deposits and pickups, promptly reporting any discrepancies to the cash supervisor.
  • Engaging with customers, they provide information on products, promotions, offers and plastic bag resale opportunities at the cash register.
  • During checkout downtime, maintain the display of front-end counters to enhance the overall shopping experience.
  • Prior to & after each shift, they diligently check the cash register for hygiene standards as outlined in the checklist, ensuring a clean and sanitized work environment.
  • Committed to operational excellence, they adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Functional and Technical Competencies: Attend and complete all the Mandatory Trainings Requirements by the Government Authorities and Company Operational Trainings.

Requirements for Role of Checkout Associate

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 years experience in a retail or customer service role is a plus.
