Manager IT Infrastructure GMG Dhabi

GMG is seeking an experienced Manager IT Infrastructure to oversee and enhance the operational efficiency and reliability of their cloud and on premises environments in GMG Building ,Umm Hurair Rd, Oud Metha, Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing IT operations, implementing best practices and ensuring the availability and performance of their infrastructure. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking and leadership skills to support their business objectives and ensure smooth operations. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 15000-25000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Manager IT Infrastructure

• Operational Strategy and Implementation: Develop and execute a comprehensive operational strategy for both cloud and on premises environments, ensuring alignment with business goals and efficiency requirements.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of servers, networks, and storage systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Incident Response: Lead the incident response team to investigate and resolve operational issues, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
• Conduct post-incident analysis and drive improvements.
• Cloud Operations: Ensure robust operational practices in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Oversee the deployment and management of cloud-based applications and services.
• On-Premises Operations: Maintain the operations of on-premises infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage. Implement physical and technical measures to ensure smooth operations.
• Backup Administration: Proficiency in backup administration for SAP databases and applications using EMC Networker, Veeam and other related technologies.
• IT Budget Management: Manage the IT operations budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost-effective solutions.

Infrastructure Security Proficiencies

• Security Strategy and Implementation: Develop and execute a comprehensive security strategy for both cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance requirements.
• Access Control: Oversee the implementation and management of identity and access management (IAM) solutions, ensuring only authorized personnel have access to critical systems and data.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Implement and manage monitoring tools and processes. Generate regular reports on operational metrics, incidents, and compliance status for senior management.
• Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments, identify operational vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate controls to mitigate risks.
• Regularly review and update operational policies and procedures.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors.
• Cloud Posture and Entitlements Management: Manage cloud infrastructure posture and entitlements to ensure secure and efficient use of cloud resources.
• Implement best practices for cloud resource management and cost optimization
• Vendor Management: Oversee vendor relationships, including the evaluation, selection, and management of operations vendors.
• Ensure vendor compliance with operational requirements and standards.
• POC/POV Creation: Lead the creation and execution of Proof of Concept (POC) and Proof of Value (POV) projects for new infrastructure technologies.
• Evaluate new solutions and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Server Hardware Management: Hands-on experience with server hardware, including HPE, SAP HANA appliance, IBM Power, ATOS BullSequana, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco-UCS.
• Storage Management: Expertise in managing storage solutions such as HPE 3PAR, IBM Flash, EMC Clariion, Dell Unity.
• Operating System Management: L3 level experience on high end servers with operating systems including SUSE, IBM AIX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and others.

Requirements for Role of Manager IT Infrastructure

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles.
