Colgate Palmolive Company is presently looking to hire a candidate for the job role of a Customer Development Manager in JBC 3, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dubai, UAE. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 15000-35000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Customer Development Manager

  • Responsible for identification and realization of Business development and sales opportunities in  whitespaces territories  and Dubai based Traders that help Colgate in seeding and developing their business in new, select markets.
  • The role in achieving these objectives includes
  • Identify and drive Business building opportunities for sales into pre-approved markets where Colgate has no ground presence or no already established exports business.
  • Achieve Sales & Profit targets within the above mentioned markets.
  • Help seeding of Colgate products for future strategic entry for Colgate, through building strong relationships with a network of worthy traders.
  • Monitor and analyze customer’s sales performance by market, brand, and profitability to build reliability and predictability in the business.
  • Monitor gross to net spend each month and ensure control within agreed budgets.
  • Oversee the activation of new SKUs and execution of other retail marketing fundamentals with customers.
  • Ensure implementation/adherence to key Colgate Business processes.
  • Drive O2I processes such as updating customers on payments, stock and order availability.
  • Prepare and present Bi-Annual Reviews to Senior Leadership.
  • Create and manage the pro-forma invoice on SAP & allocation process amongst various trading customers, so as to drive maximum profitability.
  • Lead the demand planning process to ensure timely availability of the right product assortment, with minimum inventory at the warehouse.
  • Ensure timely and profitable depletion of excess inventory.

Requirements for Role of Customer Development Manager

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. Undergraduate coursework in Business and/or a Masters in Business Administration is desirable.
  • At least 8 years in FMCG trading business with strong contacts, and track record of growing the business

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Sound financial acumen & judgement.
  • Ability to influence traders to comply with Colgate policies/intent.
  • Past experience in using SAP and BI tools.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic.
