GMG (Consumer Goods) is currently hiring skilled and motivated candidate for the job role of Chef in Dubai. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking variety of meals in accordance with company standards and guidelines. Ensuring that the food is of the high quality and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Able to manage a small team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, culinary skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of Chef

• Deliver effective customer service and assist customers throughout the day as per the standards and guidelines to promote sales.
• Stocking shelves with items such as fruits and vegetables.
• Responsible for preparing the section to trade before store opening as per standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Display the product based on FIFO and ensure that damaged or expired product are removed from the shelves.
• Coordinate in obtaining stock from the warehouse to the selling area and replenish stock as per the display guidelines.
• Maintain self-hygiene standards and adhere to the uniform policy.
• Ensure that waste/damaged goods are properly recorded for stock accuracy.
• Ensure that prices are accurate and clearly visible to the customer.

Requirements for Role of Chef

• Completed kitchen apprentice or chefs professional course.
• 1-2 years as a Cook/Chef in a restaurant or culinary environment.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Active listening and effective communication skills.
• Team spirit.
• Flexibility to work in shifts.
• Must be proficient to communicate in English.
