Responsibilities of Welder

  • Weld metal parts using TIG and MIG methods as shown in the drawings
  • Smooth and shape parts using grinding tools
  • Read and follow welding drawings to make sure parts are correct
  • Label finished parts and move them to the next work area
  • Help with mechanical assembly and basic machine tasks
  • Handle and carry metal parts safely
  • Meet daily and weekly production goals
  • Work with the team to keep things running smoothly
  • Follow safety rules and keep the workspace clean and organized

Requirements for the Welder Role

  • Must-Have Skills
  • ITI or a welding certificate (1–2 years of training)
  • 2 to 5 years of TIG welding experience in a factory or workshop
  • Able to read and understand welding drawings
  • Basic knowledge of welding tools and robotic welding machines
  • Can speak and understand basic English
  • Knows how to use a computer at a basic level
  • Preferred Skills
  • Experience using robotic welding machines, especially Cloos systems
  • Familiar with working in a switchgear or metal fabrication environment
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Can follow safety rules and company guidelines
  • Willing to learn and take on new tasks — training is available for the right person
