Job Description

The management company, a large facility in Dubai, forts Services, requires an experienced welder to join the technical team. It is a full -time, permanent position with an immediate opening. As a welder you will be responsible for implementing welding procedures and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. The candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in welding stainless steel pipes and are effective with welding techniques including SMAW, GTAV, GMAW and SAW. Applicants should have a diploma or degree in mechanical or metallurgical engineering. Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) certification is prioritized. Success in this role requires strong technical knowledge, safety awareness and an active attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and perform welding processes for several steel marks such as light steel (MS), stainless steel (SS) and alloy steel.
  • Choose appropriate welding methods including SMAW, GTAW, GMAW and look at the project needs.
  • It is necessary to perform advance heating, after welding heat treatment (PWHT) and stress-relief operations.
  • Make sure all welding activities are in accordance with safety protocols and industry rules.
  • Verification of real estate status and proposes improvement of performance.
  • Explain technical images, planned and welding codes for the execution of the exact job.
  • Collaborate with team leaders and perform work orders effectively.
  • Maintain safety, hygiene and operational discipline in all assigned plant rooms.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in stainless steel pipe welding.
  • Experience with mechanical controls and understanding of performance checks preferred.

Skills:

  • Specialization by hand in problem diagnosis and corrective action plan.
  • The ability to interpret equipment, measurements, and readings.
  • Welding equipment and the ability to use reading diagrams and plans.
  • Understanding heat safety rules and operational compliance.
  • Effective communication with team members, with a customer-focused attitude.

Knowledge

  • Welding codes and standards.
  • Pipe welding procedures.
  • Equipment performance evaluation.
  • Energy efficiency and risk management.
  • Technical drawing interpretation.
  • Heat treatment and metallurgy basics.
