Import/Export industry is currently seeking a detail oriented and proactive individual to join their team as a Warehouse Assistant in Dubai. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient operation of their warehouse facilities.

Responsibilities of Warehouse Assistant

Assist with receiving, unloading, and inspecting incoming shipments of goods and materials, verifying quantities and quality against packing lists and purchase orders.
Organize and store inventory items in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper placement and accessibility for picking, packing, and shipping processes.
Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock checks to monitor inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and reconcile inventory counts.
Prepare orders for shipment, picking items from inventory, packaging products securely, and labeling shipments with appropriate shipping labels and documentation.
Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently to move, stack, and transport materials within the warehouse.
Collaborate with warehouse team members and other departments to fulfill customer orders, expedite shipments, and resolve inventory related issues or discrepancies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse facility, including sweeping floors, removing debris, and disposing of packaging materials and waste properly.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following safe lifting techniques, and participating in safety training programs.
Assist with special projects, inventory audits, and process improvements as assigned by warehouse supervisors or management.

Requirements of Warehouse Assistant

High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; additional education or training in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record may be required for positions involving operating forklifts or other motorized equipment.
Previous experience of 1-2 years in warehouse, distribution, or logistics environments.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control processes, and basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in a fast paced and physically demanding environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing inventory counts, labeling shipments, and following written and verbal instructions.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime, based on operational needs and peak periods.
