Responsibilities of Warehouse Assistant

• Assist with the receiving, storing, and organizing of incoming shipments and materials in the warehouse.
• Perform inventory counts and stock rotation to ensure accurate stock levels and prevent discrepancies.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in fulfilling customer orders.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse, including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of debris.
• Assist in the assembly, labeling, and packaging of products according to company standards and customer requirements.
• Monitor and report any damages, defects, or discrepancies in inventory to the warehouse supervisor.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily production targets and meet customer demands.
• Support other warehouse activities and special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements of Warehouse Assistant

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience of 1-2 years working in a warehouse or similar environment preferred but not required.

Skills and Knowledge desired

• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail for inventory counting and order processing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is an asset.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software is a plus.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
