Job Description
This is a full-time role for someone who knows their way around a restaurant floor and actually enjoys it. Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island is hiring a waiter or waitress to join the team. You’d be looking after guests in the restaurant — bringing out food and drinks, making sure they’ve got everything they need, and handling things when they don’t go to plan. It’s not a quiet job, especially during busy hours, so you’ll need to be quick on your feet and not get flustered easily. Experience matters — at least a year or so in a similar setting helps a lot. Being friendly is just as important as knowing the menu.

Requirements and Qualifications
Education
Doesn’t need a degree. If you’ve had basic hospitality training or courses, that’s helpful.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year in a hotel or restaurant role — waiter, server, food runner, etc.
- Handled high-volume service? That’s a plus.
Skills
- Knows how to carry a tray without panicking
- Good spoken English — polite and clear
- Friendly without being too casual
- Able to stand and move for long shifts
- Pays attention to the small stuff
- Stays organized even when the place gets loud and busy
Knowledge
- Menu basics: dishes, drinks, allergens
- How to spot and fix common guest issues
- Restaurant layout and team flow
- Local service rules and etiquette
- Cleanliness and hygiene practices
- POS systems (if you’ve used one, even better)
