Jumeirah Group presently has job opening for eligible candidate for position of a Waiter. The aspiring candidate will work at Jumeirah Beach hotel in Dubai (subsidiary of Jumeirah Group). This job has recently been posted by Jumeirah Group on 24 October 2023 and is now open for all desirous candidates.

Job Purpose of A Waiter

To provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience in a restaurant or establishment.

Duties of A Waiter

• Greet guests with warm welcome and smile.
• Escort them to their tables.
• Answer inquiries about food and beverage items on the menu.
• Assist guests by explaining how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and
  cooking methods, where applicable.
• Be aware of allergy information on menu items and inform guests where needed or inquired.
• Inform guests of daily specials or special items/promotions not listed on menu.
• Check customer’s identification to ensure they meet alcohol legal age requirements or requirements as per local law.
• Offer food and wine suggestions.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately including any
  special requests.
• Inform Kitchen as per the request.
• Input the order into PO System, if needed
• Work with bartenders to fill beverage orders.
• Work with kitchen staff to process and expedite food orders.
• Deliver and serve food at tables.
• Use established food handling and serving techniques as per
  Jumeirah standard.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

• High school graduate.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience at 5* luxury hotel.

Skills Desired 

• Proficient in spoken and written business English.
• Effective communication skills with all levels of colleagues and management at all levels.
