Waiter/ess (Mandarin Speaker) Jumeirah Creekside Hotel

Jumeirah Creekside Hotel is presently accepting applications from suitable candidate for the job role of Waiter/ess. Attending to guests by welcoming and seating them. Cater to their requirements by taking food and beverage orders, serving food and beverages to customers and attend to customers’ needs.

Responsibilities of Waiter/ess

• Ensures that all colleagues’ activities adhere to and support the Jumeirah Quality Standards.
• Provides a link between kitchen and service areas.
• Provides table and or counter service of all menu items.
• Provides table and or counter service of alcoholic / non-alcoholic beverages.
• Updates food and beverage knowledge required to carry out duties.
• Provides advice on food and beverage to guests.
• Receives and stores food and beverage adhering to all food hygiene regulations and procedures.
• Consistently monitors quality of food and beverage being served, and report to the supervisor or assistant outlet manager.
• Actively uses up-selling techniques to exceed guests’ expectations and increase revenue.

Requirements of Waiter/ess

• Ideally have a diploma  in hospitality or a vocational training in food & beverage.
• 2-3 years in a Food and Beverage Service outlet in a 5-star property

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• Ability to work in a smoky environment.
• Flexible scheduling
• Demonstrates energy and enthusiasm with work.
• Good English communication skills
• Honest and sincere in dealing with colleagues and customers.
• Basic knowledge of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages Basic table service skills.
• Has been working in a similar place before.
• Has good product knowledge.
• High awareness on maintaining 5-star standard.
