Job Description
GEMS Founders School Al Mizhar is looking to hire suitably skilled and devoted candidate for role of Vocational Learning Head. This job was posted by the school on 8 January 2024. Candidates desirous to go for the role should submit their applications now.
Responsibilities of Vocational Learning Head
- To set up and maintain system for, and make amendments to, course approvals.
- To be the central point of contact for external verifiers/examiners.
- To support staff in preparing for and managing external verification.
- To monitor and record progress against actions specified by external verifiers/moderators.
- To report on the outcomes of external verification reports.
- To provide updates for staff on changes to awarding body requirements.
- To attend EV visits as required.
- To ensure BTEC and other vocational programmed are led effectively .
Job Requirements
The requirements for the job role of Vocational Learning Head are as under:
- Master’s degree in a relevant vocational field (e.g. Engineering, Hospitality, Healthcare, Information Technology) or Education with emphasis on vocational education.
- Minimum 4 year experience in similar role.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- To provide staff development on quality improvement strategies.
- To circulate information from awarding bodies and external sources as appropriate.
- To keep up to date with online support facilities.
- To establish clear expectations and high standards of professionalism & collaboration across the School.
