MichaelPage has announced an exciting opportunity for role of VMware Engineer Level 3 to join a very successful organisation in Dubai. Aspiring candidate must have experience in managing 1500+ VMs. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the IT infrastructure landscape of a growing organisation.

Responsibilities of VMware Engineer

• Administer, install, configure, and patch VMware clusters and ESXi environments.
• Manage and optimize virtualized infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to VMware technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable virtualization solutions.
• Monitor and analyze system performance to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Develop and maintain documentation for VMware systems, configurations, and procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Participate in on-call support rotation.
• Address critical incidents promptly.

Requirements Of VMware Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a VMware Level 3 engineer.
• Experience managing a minimum of 1500 VMs in a production environment.
• Proven experience in the administration, installation, configuration, and patching of VMware clusters and ESXi environments.
• Based in the United Arab Emirates, and ability to start as soon as possible.

Skills And Abilities Desired

• In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere and related tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
• Excellent scripting skills (PowerShell, Python etc) for automation tasks.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
