Job Description

Charterhouse is working with a prominent Real Estate Developer based in Abu Dhabi. Their client, an innovator in urban design and a pioneer in sustainability, is developing modern projects encompassing retail, hospitality and commercial sectors. They are currently looking to hire a Vice President Commercial Leasing.

About the Role

  • This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced negotiator who can build and maintain relationships with regional retailers and their portfolios.
  • The role requires having a clear understanding and knowledge of brands and retailer groups across the Middle East, with the ability to influence strategic proposals.
  • The primary responsibilities of this role will be to lead the retail leasing business and to take ownership, as well as overseeing store openings and closing.
  • Moreover, role would involve continuously identifying new opportunities to support the growth of the business portfolio.
  • Accountable for proposals & negotiating prices along with any lease renewals and will have prior experience in controlling annual budgets and reviewing costs where needed.
  • Strict time management & collaboration with retail design and fit-out stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of openings and closings.
  • Proactive leader with extensive knowledge of the retail sector, who can work with a high level of autonomy.
  • Collaborate efficiently with colleagues and partners.

Requirements of Vice President Commercial Leasing

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics or any other relevant field.
  • 8 years+ experience in Retail Leasing in the retail or real estate industry, and have a strategic background.

Skills and Abilities Desired

  • Committed relationships with major Regional Retailers must already be in place.
  • Strong leader with a dynamic and tactical personality.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic are essential for this role.
