Seddiqi Holding is looking for a Vendor Manager in Umm Al Sheif, Dubai, UAE who will be responsible for managing and optimizing vendor relationships to ensure delivery of high-quality services and products. This role involves coordinating with Group Procurement for contract negotiations, maintaining service level agreements (SLAs) & developing strong vendor relationships. Candidates’ responsibility for budgeting and financial planning related to vendor contracts and services. Candidate will strategically oversee a varied suite of IT vendors, focusing on cost-effectiveness, operational efficiency & alignment with the organization’s IT strategy. The role encompasses vendor selection, performance monitoring, ensuring contractual compliance & managing the financial aspects of vendor relationships. Also requires strong commercial acumen, effective negotiation skills & a thorough understanding of IT services and products. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 12000-25000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Vendor Manager
- Strategic: Lead the vendor selection process, emphasizing the balance of quality, cost, service & long-term partnership potential.
- Develop comprehensive vendor management strategies that align with the organization’s IT and business goals, including long-term planning and forecasting.
- Regularly evaluate and optimize the vendor portfolio, ensuring it aligns with the evolving needs of the organization and the IT landscape.
- Establish and maintain key vendor relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and fostering strategic partnerships for mutual growth.
- Collaborate with IT leadership and other departments to ensure vendor services are integrated with the overall IT strategy and organizational objectives.
- Spearhead initiatives for cost-saving and value creation through effective vendor negotiations and contract management.
- Drive the adoption of innovative vendor solutions that align with the company’s strategic vision for digital transformation and technological advancement.
- Oversee the integration of environmental, social & governance (ESG) considerations into vendor selection and management processes.
- Operational: Coordinate with Group Procurement for negotiating contracts and SLAs, securing favorable terms for the organization.
- Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and contractual obligations, addressing issues proactively.
- Manage vendor-related risks, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee budgeting and financial planning for vendor contracts and services.
- Work with internal stakeholders to assess and fulfill IT vendor needs.
- Implement vendor performance review processes to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements for Role of Vendor Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or in a related field.
- 3 to 5 years experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Certifications in IT Governance (such as COBIT or ITIL), Risk Management (such as CRISC), Project Management (PMP or PRINCE2), and/or Auditing (such as CISA) is a plus.
