Looking for key stage leadership jobs in Abu Dhabi? Pearl British Academy, part of the Aldar Education network, is seeking an outstanding Key Stage Leader for Upper Primary to join for the 2026/2027 academic year. Additionally, this school was the first Aldar Academies school founded in 2007 and is the first High Performance Learning school in Abu Dhabi.
About the Role
As an Upper Primary Key Stage Leader at Pearl British Academy, you will develop and implement policies and practices that reflect the school’s vision and commitment to high standards. Furthermore, you will use data effectively to identify underachieving students and create targeted action plans to support their progress. Moreover, you will evaluate the quality of teaching and learning across your phase and take decisive action to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies reflecting the school’s vision and high standards of achievement
- Establish, monitor, and evaluate short, medium, and long-term plans for department development
- Use data to identify underachieving students and create action plans to support them
- Ensure appropriate schemes of work including SEN, G&T, and EAL provision
- Set expectations for staff regarding teaching quality and student achievement standards
- Performance manage team in accordance with school policy
- Manage department resource and CapEx budgets efficiently
- Create effective and stimulating learning environments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Minimum 6 years of teaching experience
- Experience of the UK curriculum with proven phase leadership
- Proven track record of implementing strategies to raise standards
- A commitment to an extensive enrichment programme
- Passionate and caring educator with strong leadership skills
- Satisfactory references and police clearance required

Pearl British Academy was Aldar Academies’ first school, founded in 2007, and has retained its small school ethos of friendliness, protection, care, and nurturing. Furthermore, the school follows the National Curriculum for England and caters for children aged 3 to 11 in the heart of Abu Dhabi.
