Mediclinic City Hospital is seeking an experienced Unit Manager – Pediatric Ward to join their team in Dubai. This is a recently opened position at the hospital with the reference number 46459. The incumbent will lead and manage the nursing team in the provision of patient-centric and evidence based nursing care, operational efficiency and positive patient experiences.
Responsibilities of Unit Manager Pediatric Ward
- To provide strong leadership and management guidance to the team.
- To ensure evidence based patient care practices are followed as per clinical standards.
- To ensure positive patient experiences by developing employees and creating an environment that enables team engagement.
- To manage allocated clinical and non-clinical resources in a cost efficient and effective manner to enhance safe patient care.
- To monitor and manage compliance with legislative, regulatory and clinical standards to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Qualification & Experience
Following is the selection criteria for the role of Unit Manager Pediatric Ward at Mediclinic:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized/accredited Nursing Institute.
- Master of Science in Nursing or related Healthcare field is desirable.
- At least 3-5 years’ senior nursing experience, preferably in a private hospital.
- 5-10 years senior nursing experience is preferable.
Knowledge & Skills
- Demonstrate the ability to implement all five (5) stages of the Scientific Nursing Process (assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation).
- Presentation Skills.
- UAE Labour Law.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Cost management principles.
- Demonstrate Nursing functional competence (Nursing practice).
- Demonstrate the ability to manage meetings effectively.
- Quality management and governance standards and best practice.
- Risk management principles, systems and best practice.
- Skilled in the demonstration and assessment of all relevant clinical procedures.
- Stock control principles and management.
- UAE healthcare regulatory framework and related requirements.
